You stopped the stillness of 16 months of existing in a pandemic with daily reports of sunrisings and nature's ever present awakenings. Now as you move on, may you be surrounded by new moments of 'ah ha!' and delight.
"the seams of well-being frayed but secure . . . finally, I face the next phase, continuing to color my life outside the lines." A joy to know that your seams are secure and that you will continue coloring your life without boundaries. All the best--
I am sorry that I only just figured out how to like and comment on your posts, but I have enjoyed and appreciated them all. Thank you for sharing your daily walks through Coyote Hollow. I hope that the new owners will be as appreciative of the bats behind the barn door. Wishing you all the best with your new horizons and new endeavors!
Ted, we both just read this post on leaving your Thetford home (after reading today's from Daybreak) - we left our old farmhouse home of 34 years in Post Mills (for Latham Road, smaller, easier, newer!) 2 years ago. Your musings on your last days mirrored our last days perfectly.... I hope you can stay in touch with the new owners and smile at their making it their own (as we've been able to do!)
I really enjoy your writing and am glad it will continue. Yesterday I was walking on the Ballard trail and saw an old broken sign but I could make out the word Linny... Know anything about that?
Godspeed. Teaching all of us to look at our own homes - with all their accumulated memories as "places of yearning, places in our hearts" - "Querencias" (sp?). Leaving - becoming untethered by circumstances. I feel too rooted - like a pine... wait poor analogy!
I have loved this journey with you. Today's posting, ah....A most beautiful and fitting conclusion as one door closes and many others open.

Best of luck, Ted! On to the next chapter!
Brother, Good luck on your move and resettlement in your new abode! Yank
Change is always good, and yet hard. A beautiful tribute! All the best for the next adventure!
So beautiful and so moving, Ted. No pun intended. I wish you all the best in your new home.

Actually it showed "love to Linny"
